My 9yr old Arthur has been training here since 2019 and says “we get trained really well. All the instructors are nice and push you to do your best.” He has developed from white belt to purple belt, grown in strength, had the chance to compete and has made good friends at the club. He very much enjoyed the summer holiday camp where they had a chance to do a range of other fun activities as well as karate. From a parent’s perspective the club has a really good family atmosphere. Sensei Bianca is absolutely expert knowledgeable about the sport as well as how to train and motivate people at different ages and stages in their karate journey.. All the instructors are professional when needed but also friendly and approachable. I feel I get good feedback on how my son is doing and I like that he is building fitness while learning valuable life skills.
I signed up for the beginners course and instantly knew that I’d chosen the right club on arrival. Sensei Bianca has a fantastic way of teaching and making you understand exactly what is needed without undermining you and getting her point across. It is a great atmosphere and I feel so much better in life after every class. Can’t recommend this club enough.
I love playing the karate games. Karate creates a fun, supportive and friendly community as you are meeting new friends. Sensei Bianca is a fantastic teacher in making karate a great success!
Amazing! My son is really enjoying his karate. He’s getting so much more confident, he talks about his lessons all the time and can’t wait until his next lesson. The staff has so much time to teach him and help him, but also make it fun.
So pleased we found such an amazing club for my child (6) to join. She is always excited for her lessons and can’t wait to show us and tell us what she has been doing. Her confidence has developed without being overwhelmed. Sensei Bianca and her daughter display such love and enthusiasm.
Really wish I’d been able to find Kazokudai Karate many years before I did. Sensei Bianca understands exactly how to train and get the best from each student on an individual basis and not just a generic way of teaching everyone. Karate has also helped my mental health so much, there’s days where the thought of going out at all is too much to deal with but pushing yourself to go training always makes you feel after.
All instructors and students wear the traditional all white uniform which is known as a Gi and the relevant coloured belt. NO shoes or footwear.

A typical class in involves a formal Bow-in, warm up exercises and dynamic karate-specific stretching, Kihon (basic techniques), Kata, Kumite and Bunkai, cool down and static stretching.
For our younger students, there is always lots of karate-based games and activities to make sure everyone enjoys the classes.
